The first major under taking. Remove all the slate & grade it. New roof paper, battens & counter battens were installed. All the slate tiles were re-nailed with copper nails. This was a major under taking that John Megan thought would take 2-3 weeks, 6 weeks later of howling winds John finally managed to finish this restoration.
